IDECSI shortlisted for Best Emerging Technology at the SC Awards Europe 2019
SC MEDIA, The Cyber-Security Source announced that IDECSI has been recognised as an Excellence Award finalist in the Best Emerging Technology category for its Personal Security Guardian at the SC Awards Europe 2019. Finalists are recognised for outstanding leadership and providing superior security products to the cybersecurity industry. Winners will be announced on the night at a black tie Gala Dinner to be held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, on the evening of Tuesday 4 June.
The IDECSI Personal Security Guardian expands the cyber perimeter to protect critical applications such as Office 365, Exchange/SharePoint, SAP, G Suite and more. IDECSI engages users in their cyber security, expanding protection without expanding costs.
Today’s cybersecurity architecture requires collects vast volumes of logs, pushes these to a SIEM, processes them with expensive AI technology, and even more expensive SOC engineers. But, the vast majority of these logs represent normal behaviour – they are noise in the cyber battle. Cyber security teams are therefore overloaded and do not have the capacity to analyse changes in user applications, to understand if they were made by legitimate users or by hackers. Hence, this remains a massive hole in the security estate. IDECSI offers an efficient way to solve this problem through user engagement. The IDECSI Personal Security Guardian uses logs to create an individual profile for each user and each application, and validates the profile with the user. Thereafter, the solution processes logs in real-time. When a suspicious access or change occurs, IDECSI can directly alert the person who will instantly know whether it is legitimate – the user – for immediate validation. This approach reduces MTTD and MTTR, lowers costs and sensitises users to cybersecurity.
The SC Awards Europe honour the leading players in the cybersecurity sector – individuals, companies and products that have played their part in making the world a safer place. With the industry’s leading lights participating, it truly is an achievement to make the shortlist, and this year, there were some very high scoring good professional companies that didn’t quite make it to become finalists. And in a fast moving industry where no-one can rest on their laurels, there are also finalists that may come as a surprise to some, competing on merit with better known players – who continue to jostle to outdo each other for dominance.
